Dan Griess resigns as CEO of Box Butte General Hospital

Dan Griess, CEO of Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Neb., will leave the organization at the end of July to take a new position.

Mr. Griess is leaving after more than 24 years at Box Butte General, 13 of which he was CEO. He has accepted a position as executive vice president of facility systems and clinical services at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Neb., and the new hospital that opens this fall in Omaha, Neb., beginning in August, according to hospital officials.

Mr. Griess began working at Box Butte General in 1992 as the laboratory manager before being promoted to vice president of clinical/support services. He became CEO in 2003.
