Ms. Auerbach replaces Christopher Arismendi, MD, who was asked by the hospital’s board to step down prior to a possible merger with the University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento.
This is the first time in more than 25 years that an Arismendi has not held the CEO position at Dameron, according to the report.
Ms. Auerbach has 25 years of healthcare experience and was most recently the president and CEO of Seton Medical Center in Daly City, Calif., and Seton Coastside Hospital in Moss Beach, Calif., according to the report.
The appointment was effective Nov. 3.
