Dr. Elmouchi had served as president of Corewell Health West, which oversees the health system’s healthcare operations in West Michigan, according to an April 25 news release. He has been with the organization as a practicing cardiac electrophysiologist for 17 years.
Dr. Elmouchi’s latest appointment comes about a year after Corewell Health, a 22-hospital organization, formed by the merger of Grand Rapids-based Spectrum Health with Southfield-based Beaumont Health.
Corewell Health also announced that Alejandro Quiroga, MD, was selected as the new president of Corewell Health West. Dr. Quiroga had served as the chief medical officer and head of the health system’s ambulatory care and population health programs in West Michigan.
Both appointments take effect May 1, according to the release.
