Community Healthcare System’s parent taps new CIO: 3 takeaways

Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana, which operates Munster, Ind.-based Community Healthcare System, named Jesus Delgado, PhD, vice president of IT and CIO, according to an Inside Indiana Business report.

1. Dr. Delgado formerly served as executive director of IT operations and cybersecurity at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center.

2. He holds a master’s degree in IT management from Evanston, Ill.-based Northwestern University and a doctorate of management in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix.

3. As CIO of Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana, Dr. Delgado will oversee strategic planning and management of information technologies for Community Healthcare System’s three hospitals: Community Hospital in Munster, Ind.; St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind.; and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Ind.
