Bryan Mills, president and CEO of Indianapolis-based Community Health Network, plans to retire at the end of 2025 after 40 years with the organization.

Mr. Mills was appointed CEO of the health system in 2009, according to a July 1 Community Health news release. He joined the organization in 1985 and served as CEO of Visionary Enterprises, a for-profit affiliate, from 1992 to 2009.

During his tenure, Community Health expanded from one hospital to a system with five acute care hospitals, three rehabilitation hospitals and a cardiovascular hospital. Plans are also underway for a sixth acute care hospital and freestanding behavioral health hospitals.

Under Mr. Mills’ leadership, the system also grew to include ambulatory practices, surgery centers and a partnership with Houston-based MD Anderson Cancer Center.
