Colorado Plains Medical Center appoints CEO

Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals has named Gene O’Hara, PhD, MHA, CEO, effective Jan. 5.

Dr. O’Hara has been serving as the hospital’s interim CEO since September.

Since 2012, he has also served as an adjunct professor and director of the University of Northern Colorado’s Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business in Greeley. Before that, he served as vice president of market management and business strategy for Irving, Texas-based VHA Mountain States, from 2009 to 2012. Prior roles include CEO at several Phoenix-based Banner Health hospitals and Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health.
