Seven things to know:
1. Dr. Jehi will focus on advancing biomedical research at Cleveland Clinic and optimizing its digital infrastructure.
2. The newly created role “will bridge research and patient data with clinical care” and use Dr. Jehi’s experience as a data-based researcher and physician, Cleveland Clinic Chief Academic Officer James Young said in a news release.
3. Dr. Jehi has been an epilepsy specialist at Cleveland Clinic for nearly 15 years.
4. Her other roles at Cleveland Clinic include principal investigator of its biorepository and vice chair of its institutional review board. She is also co-director of network capacity for the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative of Cleveland.
5. Dr. Jehi plays a large role in multi-institutional National Institutes of Health-funded data science grants and led teams that developed the first nomograms for individualized outcome prediction post-epilepsy surgery, said Cleveland Clinic.
6. She teaches at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and is active in the International League Against Epilepsy and the American Epilepsy Society.
7. She has a medical degree from American University of Beirut in Lebanon and will receive a master’s degree in healthcare delivery science from Hanover, N.H.-based Dartmouth College on Feb. 1.
