Burlington, Mass.-based Tufts Medicine has named Phil Okala its system chief operating officer, according to a June 14 news release shared with Becker’s.
Mr. Okala most recently served as system president of Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope, which he joined in September. He previously held leadership positions at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia; Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa.; and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, among others.
His new role will take effect July 10, a representative for the health system told Becker’s.
