CHI Health St. Francis appoints Ed Hannon president: 4 notes

CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island, Neb., selected Ed Hannon as its new president, effective May 23.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Hannon currently serves president and CEO of Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler, Mo.

2. He has also led rural nonprofit hospitals in Florida, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

3. He earned a master’s degree in health services administration from the New School of Social Research in New York City.

4. He replaces Dan McElligott, who resigned in November 2016 to pursue other interests. Mike Schnieders, president of CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Neb., has been serving as interim president.
