CEO of Kentucky Hospital Steps Down

Robert L. Shircliff, CEO of Louisville, Ky.-based Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare, has resigned to become a healthcare consultant, according to a report in the Courier-Journal.

Mr. Shircliff, who has been with Jewish & St. Mary’s for 24 years, said his decision to resign was voluntary. According to the report, his decision to move into healthcare consulting is a result of the ongoing discussions regarding healthcare reform.

Jewish has begun a national search for Mr. Shircliff’s replacement. Mr. Shircliff will be stepping down after 60 days.
