CEO departs 1 Piedmont hospital for another

David Kent, former CEO of Covington, Ga.-based Piedmont Newton Hospital, is the new CEO of Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Ga.

Mr. Kent began his new role on Jan. 9, overseeing 1,750 employees and more than 750 physicians, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Kent was named CEO of Piedmont Newton in April 2020. Before that, he was senior vice president of business development for Boca Raton, Fla.-based Cancer Treatment Centers of America. He also served as COO and CEO of CTCA at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Newnan, Ga.

Piedmont Newton and Piedmont Henry are part of Piedmont, a 22-hospital system based in Atlanta.
