Catholic Health Services appoints new CFO: 4 things to know

Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health Services of Long Island has appointed Daniel J. DeBarba Jr. executive vice president and CFO.

Here are four things to know about Mr. DeBarba.

1. In his role, Mr. DeBarba , a certified public accountant, will oversee all areas of finance, information systems and supply chain.

2. Prior to joining CHS, he was executive vice president of Danbury-based Western Connecticut Health Network and president of Danbury and New Milford hospitals.

3. He was also previously president and CEO of Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital, which affiliated with Western Connecticut Health Network in 2014.  

4. Mr. DeBarba earned a master’s degree in professional accounting from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn.
