Carney Hospital president to leave in July: 3 things to know

Walter Ramos, president at Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Mass., is resigning for a new job opportunity in the nonprofit arena, effective in July, according to the Dorchester Reporter.

Here are three things to know:

1. Mr. Ramos is leaving to serve as president and CEO of Roslindale, Mass.-based Rogerson Communities, a healthcare-and affordable housing-focused nonprofit.

2. He joined Carney as president in July 2015.

3. Prior to that, he was CEO at DotHouse Health, a federally-qualified health center based in Dorchester.
