C. Wright Pinson, MD. CEO of Vanderbilt Health System (Nashville, Tenn.). Dr. Pinson has served at the helm of the Vanderbilt Health System for roughly six years. He is also deputy vice chancellor for health affairs and senior associate dean for clinical affairs for Vanderbilt. Clinically speaking, Dr. Pinson’s interests include benign and malignant disorders of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas. In addition to his clinical activities, he serves as chairman of the Vanderbilt UMC Medical Board, a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a member of the board of directors the Nashville Ronald McDonald House and the Hospitality House, another home away from home for patients seeking treatment in the area and their caregivers. He belongs to numerous professional societies, among them the American Surgical Association, the American College of Surgeons and the Tennessee Transplant Society.
