Brandywine Hospital names COO: 3 points

Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville, Pa., selected Vik Acharya to serve as vice president and COO, effective March 4.

Three points:

1. Mr. Acharya previously served as vice president of clinical and procedural services for University of Chicago Medicine.

2. He also has experience serving as administrative director at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif.

3. In addition to an MBA from Evanston, Ill.-based Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Ill., he holds a master of public health degree from Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
