St. Louis-based SSM Health appointed Ben Layman president of St. Mary’s Hospital-Janesville (Wis.), effective Sept. 18.

1. Mr. Layman comes to SSM Health from Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health, where he served as COO for an acute care hospital and attached rehabilitation unit.

2. Previously, he was system director of advanced business development at Spectrum Health.

4. He earned his MBA degree at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, Calif.
