Mr. Schaffner served in the same role from 2004 to 2007 until becoming senior vice president and COO at Holy Spirit Health System in Camp Hill, Pa., where he’s served for the past seven years.
With more than 34 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Mr. Schaffner has worked for both academic medical centers and for-profit organizations, as well as community hospitals and health systems. Previously, he managed critical care nursing for Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and served as senior vice president and COO for Carlisle (Pa.) Hospital and Health Services, then as associate executive director and COO for Carlisle Regional Medical Center, following Carlisle’s sale to Health Management Associates.
