Five notes:
1. Ms. Cermak most recently served as senior vice president and CFO for hospitals and clinics, overseeing research, education, joint ventures and the Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance, among other areas.
2. She has worked at Baylor Scott & White Health since 2012, helping integrate financial systems and processes as well as standardize best practices after the 2013 merger of Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare that created the organization.
3. She is former CFO at BroMenn Healthcare System in Normal, Ill.
4. Ms. Cermak is a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and served on its national board for three years.
5. In her new role as system CFO, she will oversee all corporate financial functions, such as tax and accounting, as well as the Scott & White Health Plan.
