Rebecca Beck has been named CEO of Johnson City (Tenn.) Medical Center, part of Ballad Health, effective Nov. 2.
Since 2022, Ms. Beck has served as CEO of Holston Valley Medical Center and Indian Path Community Hospital, both in Kingsport, Tenn., according to an Oct. 13 news release from Ballad Health.
She succeeds Kenny Shafer, who was named CEO of UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham (Ala.) in September.
A longtime leader within the Johnson City-based health system, Ms. Beck has also held leadership roles at Bristol (Tenn.) Regional Medical Center and Hawkins County Memorial Hospital in Rogersville, Tenn.
Mitch Kennedy, RN, will serve as interim CEO of Holston Valley and Indian Path while a national search is conducted for her successor.
