Cam Patterson, MD, chancellor of Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and CEO of UAMS Health, plans to step down due to medical and personal reasons.
His resignation will allow for a return to a faculty role in cardiology, according to a June 10 news release from the university.
Dr. Patterson has served as chancellor since 2018. Before that, he was senior vice president and COO of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Komansky Children’s Hospital in New York City.
