The hospital told KAFF Mr. Tinkle was placed on leave amid a “personnel investigation.”
Mr. Tinkle had been COO of the health system and was named acting CEO in August 2022 after Florence Spyrow, MSN, stepped down. The health system officially named former Sutter executive David Cheney to permanently succeed Ms. Spyrow July 10. Mr. Tinkle was slated to resume his role as COO in July.
However, Mr. Cheney’s start date has been moved up to June 12 due to Mr. Tinkle’s administrative leave, according to the report.
