Antelope Valley Hospital names Dr. Donald Wenzler CNO

Lancaster Valley, Calif.-based Antelope Valley Hospital has named Donald T. Wenzler, DNP, RN, CNO, effective April 6.

Dr. Wenzler has 34 years of nursing experience, including 18 years at the CNO level. Most recently, he served as CNO of Shriners Hospitals for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Wenzler also currently serves as an appraiser for the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program.

“Donald brings a wealth of experience in a broad variety of care settings,” said AVH CEO Dennis Knox. “In addition, his experience as an appraiser for the Magnet Recognition program makes him extremely knowledgeable in the latest best practices related to patient care and nursing.”
