Mississippi hospital CEO to exit

Terry Treadwell is leaving his role as CEO of Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Miss., The Vicksburg Post reported Aug. 15.

Mr. Treadwell joined the hospital in July 2022 and plans to return home to San Antonio, according to the newspaper. Laurie Neely, MSN, the hospital’s chief nursing officer, was named interim CEO. 

Mississippi hospitals’ CEO turnover is on track for its highest year ever, with two health system CEOs exiting in June: Scott Kashman of Jackson-based St. Dominic Health Services and Tiffany Murdock, DNP, MSN, of Ocean Springs-based Singing River Health System.
