AMITA Health names Deborah Fullerton chief marketing officer

Arlington Heights, Ill.-based AMITA Health has named Deborah S. Fullerton vice president and chief marketing officer.

Ms. Fullerton, who has 20 years in marketing leadership positions at three university health systems, most recently served as chief marketing and communications officer for Keck Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. While at USC, she also served as associate vice president of health sciences public relations and marketing, and as senior associate dean for the Keck School of Medicine.

She has an extensive track record of success designing the brand development process at three academic centers — Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System, Chicago-based Loyola University Health System and USC — and building data-driven marketing departments to drive volume for healthcare services.

Ms. Fullerton launched her career in healthcare after serving as editor of Lifestyle and reporter at The Courier-Tribune newspaper in North Carolina. She has 27 years of experience in public relations and media relations, during which she leveraged and exported scientific discoveries to the public and enhanced corporate reputations through a social media and thought leadership program.
