Four notes:
1. An email to Lisle, Ill.-based Amita Health leaders obtained by Crain’s notes that Mr. Province is stepping down to pursue new opportunities.
2. He assumed the president and CEO role in December 2017, and has since “worked to improve operational performance, restructure the leadership team, solidify physician relationships and integrate service lines between the Hinsdale and La Grange campuses,” the email states.
3. Mr. Province was previously interim president and CEO at Providence Healthcare Network in Waco, Texas.
4. Mike Murrill, CEO of Amita Health Adventist Medical Center La Grange (Ill.), will oversee the Hinsdale campus as interim CEO. Additionally, the Hinsdale hospital’s COO Adam Maycock, will serve as on-site executive and Herbert Buchanan, senior vice president and south regional operating officer of Amita, will help establish a plan for a new leadership model, the email notes.
