Amato Amarain named CFO of combined New Jersey medical group: 4 points

West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Health, part of New Brunswick, N.J.-based Rutgers University, named Amato Amarain CFO of the combined medical group.

Four points:

1. Mr. Amarain will oversee the financial activities of a multispecialty practice of Rutgers-employed physicians, dentists, psychologists, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

2. Previously, he was vice president of finance at New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health.

3. During his two decades in healthcare finance, Mr. Amarain has worked at New York City-based Continuum Health Partners and as a health systems consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

4. Mr. Amarain has a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y.
