1. Arthur W. Nichols announced his retirement as president and CEO of Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (N.H.). Don Caruso, MD, who has served as medical director in CMC/DHK’s Office of the President since 2011, was named as Mr. Nichols’ successor.
2. Gary R. Colberg will resign as president and CEO of Brunswick-based Southeast Georgia Health System after 14 years of service. Southeast Georgia Health System’s board of directors selected Michael D. Scherneck, who currently serves as executive vice president and CFO, to serve as interim president and CEO, in addition to his continued role as CFO.
3. Memorial Hermann Health System promoted Brian Dean to CEO of Houston-based Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, effective August 23.
4. Gregory T. Wozniak, president and CEO of St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa., part of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, will step down in October after 16 years at the helm.
5. Jan Bergen was named president and CEO of Lancaster (Pa.) General Health.
6. Bobby Olm-Shipman was appointed president and CEO of Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kan., effective September 8.
7. Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala., hired Kidada Hawkins as CEO.
