6 latest hospital CNO, CMO moves

The following six hospital and health system CNO and CMO moves were covered by Becker’s Hospital Review in the last three weeks, starting with the most recent.

1. Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth named Michael Murphy, MD, as its first system-level CMO, effective June 15. He is a board-certified OB-GYN.

2. July Holt, RN, was named CNO of Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network, effective May 18.

3. Salem (Ore.) Health hired Steve Gordon, MD, as CMO, effective June 1.

4. Denver-based SCL Health appointed Geri Towndrow, RN, as its first system CNO. Ms. Towndrow has been with the system since 2011.

5. Jacqueline Herd, DNP, was named vice president and CNO of Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Ga. She was previously CNO of Atlanta Medical Center.

6. Fredericksburg, Va.-based Mary Washington Healthcare promoted Eileen Dohmann to senior vice president and CNO. She was previously the vice president of quality and patient safety.
