20 latest hospital, health system CNO and CMO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system chief nursing officer and chief medical officer moves in the last four weeks.

The CNO and CMO moves are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health tapped Amy Beard to serve as its permanent chief nursing officer of Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

2. Anchorage-based Providence Health & Services Alaska tapped Michael Bernstein, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Nov. 12.

3. OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Ill., named Toni Bishop-McWain, MSN, RN, vice president and chief nursing officer.

4. McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe, Mich., selected Norman Chapin, MD, to serve as CMO.

5. Richmond-based HCA Virginia appointed Lauren Cutter, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer for Parham Doctors' Hospital in Richmond.

6. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health selected Eric Eskioglu, MD, to serve as executive vice president and CMO.

7. Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, Ga., appointed Tammy Harlow, BSN, MSN, chief nursing officer.

8. Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Ark., tapped Katie Lea, BSN, MSN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

9. Ascension's St. John Health System in Tulsa, Okla., named Lisa Medina, BSN, RN, chief nursing officer.

10. Denver-based UCHealth selected Kay Miller to serve as chief nursing officer of UCHealth Greeley (Colo.) Hospital.

11. Julie Nunley will serve as chief nursing officer of UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo.

12. Seattle-based UW Medicine CMO Carlos Pellegrini, MD, plans to retire, effective Dec. 31.

13. Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Medical Center selected Pat Rosenberg, RN, MSN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

14. Stony Brook (N.Y.) University Hospital selected Mark Sands, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Nov. 1.

15. Placentia-Linda Hospital in Placentia, Calif., selected Rhonda Sausedo, RN, to serve as permanent chief nursing officer.

16. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Calif., hired Varadarajan Subbiah, MD, to serve as CMO.

17. Fond du Lac, Wis.-based Agnesian HealthCare tapped DeAnn Thurmer to serve as president and chief nursing officer of Ripon (Wis.) Medical Center and Waupun (Wis.) Memorial Hospital.

18. Port Townsend, Wash.-based Jefferson Healthcare selected Tina Toner, BSN, MSN, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

19. Overland Park, Kan.-based HCA Midwest Health selected Nan Whalen, MSN, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

20. Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based DCH Health System appointed Marsha White, BSN, MSN, chief nursing officer.
