Stony Brook University Hospital appoints new CMO: 3 takeaways

Stony Brook (N.Y.) University Hospital selected Mark Sands, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Nov. 1.

1. Dr. Sands previously served as enterprise associate chief quality officer for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

2. He has also served as vice chairman of clinical operations and quality of the Cleveland Clinic’s enterprisewide imaging institute.
