The following CEO moves were reported within the past week.
1. St. Louis-based SSM Health Care named Frank L. Lucia president and CEO of Dean Health Plan, effective immediately.
2. Howard Ainsley assumed his role as CEO of Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, N.C.
3. Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, Texas, named John Allen CEO.
4. The president and CEO of Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health System, Tom Strauss, is retiring Dec. 31.
5. Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky., appointed Tim Bess as CEO, effective Sept. 2.
6. Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus, N.J., named Felicia Karsos CEO, replacing Thomas Considine, who left the CEO post after three months.
7. Craig McCoy will assume his role as CEO of Emory Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta Sept. 1.
8. Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colo., named Susan Hicks president and CEO.
9. John Miller, CEO of Anderson, S.C.-based AnMed Health, plans to step down from his role in 2015 after 17 years leading the health system.
10. Sitka (Alaska) Community Hospital appointed Jeff Comer as CEO, effective Sept. 15.
