10 Hospital and Health System Executive Moves

The following hospital executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. Jeanne LeChance, interim CEO of The Westerly (R.I.) Hospital, left her post.

2. Krista Farnham, chief executive of Providence Hospital’s north coast service area and Providence Seaside (Ore.) Hospital, accepted the COO position at Providence Portland (Ore.) Medical Center, effective Nov. 5.

3. Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System named Leah Carpenter the CEO of Memorial Hospital Miramar (Fla.). 

4. Paul Lorenz was appointed CEO of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, Calif., effective Nov. 19.

5. Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, Utah, named Steve Selzer interim CEO following former CEO Si Hutt’s departure.

6. Patrick Martin, president and CEO of Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio, announced he will retire, effective July 1, 2013.

7. Dale Kirby, CEO of Colusa (Calif.) Regional Medical Center, announced he will leave his post at the hospital to become a regional director of the American Hospital Association.

8. Andrew Runge was named regional COO of Mercy Clinic and is responsible for clinic operations in the St. Louis and Washington, Mo., areas. 

9. Boston-based Steward Health Care System named Stephen Farber CFO of the system. 

10. Steven McCue was named CFO of Marlborough (Mass.) Hospital.
