Four things to know:
1. The WakeMed All Access app helps patients and visitors navigate the health system’s facilities by providing GPS and turn-by-turn directions to their point of care.
2. Navigation extends to more than 80 WakeMed locations with interactive maps that guide users to physician’s offices, patient care floors, pharmacies and on-site dining options, among others.
3. The app, which is available for free download through Apple and Google’s stores, also gives patients access to their WakeMed MyChart patient portals to view their medical records as well as a “find a physician” database.
4. WakeMed developed the app through a partnership with Gozio Health, a mobile GPS platform that aims to help improve hospital navigation.
