The Department of Veterans Affairs awarded Document Storage Systems a $19.6 million contract to integrate the health IT company's self-scheduling portal into the VA's homegrown VistA EHR system.
DSS will implement its ForSite2020 online patient scheduling system to enable veterans to schedule and confirm medical appointments from any mobile device. The self-scheduling service will be available for primary care, specialty care and mental healthcare appointments, for both in-person and telehealth visits.
The VA awarded this contract under the "Faster Care for Veterans Pilot Program," which supports the Faster Care for Veterans Act of 2016.
