UAB Medicine taps Connexient for patient flow technology

Birmingham, Ala.-based UAB Medicine will deploy Connexient’s indoor mapping app to improve patient flow at the medical complex.

The app, MediNav Navigator Edition 2.0, provides indoor hospital maps, parking navigation and other location-based services. It is available on iOs and Android and will be operational in UAB Medicine next summer. 

“Our deployment at UAB Medicine marks one of our largest deployments yet,” Connexient CEO Mark Green said in a prepared statement.
