Helix enters new genomics partnerships with National Geographic, Mount Sinai & Exploragen

The personal genomics company Helix, which provides consumers with access to data and information about their DNA, has entered new partnerships with National Geographic, New York City-based Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the genomic applications company Exploragen.

Here's what you need to know:

1. National Geographic's ancestry product, Geno 2.0 Next Generation, will launch on the Helix platform.

2. Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will launch a new application on the Helix platform; this app will educate prospective parents about the risks of passing on inheritable genetic disorders.

3. Exploragen, which encourages users to apply DNA information to their daily lives, is developing multiple applications for the Helix platform; the first application delivers wines tailored to users' DNA profiles.
