Twiage’s communication system allows paramedics and EMTs to utilize an app to capture patient vitals and data. They’re then able to send the information in real-time to hospital emergency rooms. Thus, the ERs can better prepare for incoming patients in ambulances.

The Cornell Venture Challenge — Cornell University’s business plan competition — is open to entrepreneurs from Cornell and New York state. For receiving second place, Twiage received a $5,000 prize to be used to grow its business.

The first place winner of the competition was S.A.L.T.
