CIOs’ compensation is growing as their responsibilities increase, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The base pay for CIOs is rising 15-30%, executive search firms told the newspaper. Chief technology officers’ median pay rose 30.81% in 2024 from the previous year, per analytics firm C-Suite Comp.
Here are the 10 highest-paid IT executives by 2024 compensation (including base salary, stock awards, nonequity incentive plan compensation, bonuses, option awards and other compensation), according to the July 1 story:

7. Seemantini Godbole, Lowe’s: $5.44 million
8. Amy Brady, KeyBank: $5.02 million
9. Anil Bhatt, Norfolk Southern: $4.65 million
10. Mark Hagan, AMN Healthcare: $4.11 million
