The $60,000 robot, nicknamed Penny, lets physicians check in on patients remotely. Although it’s WMMC’s second telemedicine robot, Penny is the first major piece of technology the WMMC Foundation has donated to the hospital.

“The hospital needed it, and the doctors have asked for it,” said WMMC Foundation President Dee Hudson.
