The pilot program will establish telehealth services at locations throughout the county, including Fulton-Montgomery Community College, Fulton County Office for the Aging and Fulton County Health Department, all of which are in Johnstown, N.Y. These locations will connect patients to providers at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in New York City and Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, N.Y.
To fund this program, Fulton County officials have authorized acceptance for almost $17,000 in state funds, although the Board of Supervisors’ Human Services Committee will vote on the final resolution next week, according to the Gloversville Leader-Herald. If approved, the pilot’s services are slated to go into effect in the spring.
