Survey: Hospital leaders say ideal data analytics configuration is single-vendor

Hospital leaders say their ideal data analytics configuration is enterprise or single-vendor, according to a peer60 report. The report surveyed responses from 202 healthcare leaders who work with data analytics, including CIOs, quality directors, operations leadership and IT directors.

Here are healthcare leaders’ responses, when asked for their ideal configuration:

1. Enterprise/single-vendor: 69 percent of all respondents

2. Multiple best of breed: 19 percent of all respondents

3. EHR and revenue cycle: 9 percent of all respondents

4. Other: 4 percent of all respondents

This preference toward enterprise or single-vendor configuration persisted regardless of job title, with the exception of decision support analysts, who preferred multiple best of breed (75 percent of these respondents) and EHR and revenue cycle (25 percent of respondents).
