The Health Data for Action program aims to fund research that addresses policy questions related to economics, health services and public health, among other disciplines. The goal of the grant program is to encourage new uses of existing data.
To apply for this program, interested individuals should submit a proposal for a study using private claims or healthcare delivery data from either athenahealth or the Health Care Cost Institute. Those who are selected for the program will receive access to this data, along with funding.
The recommended project funding is up to $150,000 for a project of up to 12 months. In total, RWJF has allotted up to $750,000 to fund up to five studies.
