Remote tech could get more cancer patients in clinical trials, study hints

A new study suggests that using remote technology increases the likelihood of cancer patients enrolling in clinical trials.

The survey, published July 5 in JAMA Network Open, polled 1,100 patients who had been diagnosed or treated for cancer in the last seven years.

About 60 percent to 85 percent of the patients said they would be more likely to enroll in clinical trials if the burden of travel and time was reduced through remote technology.
