Philips, Salesforce collaborate on app for diabetes patients

Philips Healthcare, Salesforce and Radboud University Medical Center, based in the Netherlands, have partnered to develop an app that could help diabetes patients monitor their condition and communicate with their healthcare providers, according to a ZDNet report.

The new app is scheduled to be launched later this year, according to the report. The app pulls on the cloud-based data and analytics platform Philips’ HealthSuite, as well as Salesforces’ Health Cloud.

The app will allow physicians to monitor and collect data from patients’ personal health devices, EHRs and patient self-reports, according to the report.
