H.B. 3522, a bill introduced last year but stalled in committee, would allow e-prescriptions for medications like Oxycotin and Adderall in non-emergent situations. Advocates of the bill, including representatives from the Oregon Pharmacy Coalition and the Oregon Board of Pharmacy, lobbied for the bill’s reintroduction in February 2014, according to the report.
The bill’s advocates may have found an ally in Rep. Mitch Greenlick (D-Portland), chairman of the House Interim Committee on Health Care, who said he will ensure the legislation is considered.
