The Office of the National Coordinator’s Health IT Policy Committee has pushed back the deadline for public comments on clinical quality requirements for stage 2 and stage 3 meaningful use to Dec. 31, according to a Healthcare IT News report.

Although the deadline has been pushed back one week, the Quality Measures Workgroup is still seeking comments and examples of measures for five core concepts: patient and family engagement, clinical appropriateness/efficiency, care coordination, patient safety and public health.

Once the Quality Measures Workgroup has collected public comment, it will review and revise the recommendations before presenting them for approval to the Health IT Policy Committee.
