Mobile security startup NowSecure raises $12.5M

Chicago-based mobile security startup NowSecure has raised $12.5 million in venture capital for growth purposes, according to a report from Crain’s Chicago Business.

The company specializes in testing mobile apps for security weaknesses, which may allow accidental breaches of data.

While NowSecure provides services primarily to banks, it is expanding into the healthcare and and insurance markets and is used in nearly 200 countries, according to the report.
