Michigan-based HIE chooses DrFirst platform

A newly launched health information exchange in Michigan has selected DrFirst’s platform for electronically sharing patient information, according to a Grand Rapids Business Journal report.

The Great Lakes Health Connect, based in Grand Rapids, will host 120 member hospitals and more than 10,000 physician providers on DrFirst’s MedHx software, a cloud-based platform.

The HIE formed when Michigan Health Connect and Great Lakes Health Information Exchange merged in 2014.
