Meaningful Use Number One Priority for Healthcare Executives

A study by IT services and consulting firm CSC reported that achieving meaningful use compliances is the number one priority for healthcare executives, according to a CSC report.

Of the 60 healthcare executives who responded to the survey, 67 percent said achieving meaningful use of inpatient e-health record systems was ther immediate top priority, while 90 percent said achieving meanginful use was among their two highest priorities. Thirty-one percent of non-IT executives said preparing for new payment models was their top priority, compared to only three percent of IT executives.

Forty-two percent of healthcare executives named helping their owned and affiliated physicians meet meaningful use compliance as their second-highest priority.
