Massachusetts eHealth Institute Launches Grant Program to Further Interoperability, HIE

The Massachusetts eHealth Institute has launched the $1.5 million Mass HIway Vendor Interface Grant Program, a competitive grant program to fund projects that advance electronic health records’ interoperability.

The program will provide grants to vendors and software developers to encourage the development of interoperable systems. The program also aims at accelerating the connection of EHRs to the state’s health information exchange — the MassHIway.

The grant winners could receive up to $150,000, and proposals are due June 17.
